I am hopeful this is the start of a series of summertime posts. Since the beginning of my photography journey, I have made it a priority to capture our summer memories- with no regard for perfection or technicalities- really, I just hope to have summertime snapshots like those from my childhood (well maybe just a little better). With sincere simplicity, I loved and still love the summertime pictures of myself & my siblings as children, with sun kissed cheeks and messy pool hair. This is what sticks out in my mind, thinking about what summer was like and should be like for my girls. Here’s to hoping our summer pictures capture the same essense of summer- all the adventure it brings, all the fun, laughter & joy, all the freckles, bruised knees, long days, late nights, days of pure freedom, and familiar faces of friends and loved ones. Summer is just the best.
